Hi! I’m Cooper. Welcome to my design portfolio. 👋
I’m an artist and a designer who is passionate about building great products and great experiences for people. I have a background in computer science and digital media design, and over a decade of experience working for companies such as Lucasfilm, GameSalad, Evernote, and Favor Delivery. I am currently working at Meta’s Reality Labs on next-gen virtual reality experiences. My biggest hope is to design and build things that will help, inspire, or positively impact people in some way, and to make the world a better place in the process.
My Professional Work
I’ve been fortunate to work on a variety of fun and interesting products up to this point in my career. Here are a few write-ups and case studies that I’ve put together for some of my past projects:
Favor Delivery Overview - a quick overview of a gig economy food delivery service that I worked at for 5 years
Redesigning the Favor Customer App - a case study detailing several projects that contributed to the redesign of Favor’s customer app
Runner Freedom and Flexibility - a case study detailing several projects that had to do with maximizing Runner productivity while also giving them the ability to work on their own terms
Improving the Runner Earnings Experience - a case study detailing how I improved the way that Runners engaged with their earnings and deposit information
Skitch for Windows Desktop - my design work for a screenshot and annotation tool that was part of Evernote’s productivity app suite
Skitch for Windows Touch - my design work for Skitch on the Windows Touch platform
Skitch Design Explorations - some experimental design concepts I was playing around with for Skitch during the end of my time at Evernote
Evernote Presentation Mode - my design work for a feature within Evernote that automatically formatted notes for a presentation style viewing experience
GameSalad - my design work for a game development and distribution tool geared for non-programmers
My Personal Work
I’m a big believer in the importance of having hobbies, and I really enjoy spending some of my free time working on side projects to learn new things and keep myself creatively engaged. I mostly enjoy drawing and illustrating, and I’ll occasionally design and prototype video game ideas that I think could be fun. Here are some of the things that I’ve made in my spare time:
Catalyst - a Zelda-like game prototype that I’ve been developing for many years
Favorcade - an arcade cabinet that I built from scratch with a friend
Traditional Art - a collection of my best traditional art pieces
Illustrations - a collection of my best digital illustrations
My Life and Travel
I love traveling and exploring the world we live in. I believe that our experiences with other people, places, and cultures are powerful lenses through which we can grow as individuals, become inspired, and learn more gratitude, humility, and compassion. I’ve also found that traveling can be a fantastic outlet for creative ideas - some of my most creative moments have happened while I was exploring new places! Here are a few pictures from my recent adventures - feel free to hop over to my Instagram for more.
